Matthew Jimenez, CMHC

Matt is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 17 years of mental health experience. Matt obtained his graduate degree in Denver, Colorado, earning a Master’s in Counseling. Matt earned his undergraduate degree at Westminster Liberal Arts College with a major in Clinical Psychology and a minor in Environmental Studies.

Matt incorporates a multitude of modalities but always maintains person-centered and mindfulness-based practices. Focusing on experiential based models to help ground in present moment and authenticity. He works with both the mind and the body, focusing on somatic psychology.

Matt grew up in Utah enjoying fishing, skiing, and hiking in the great outdoors. He now takes clients drifting down rivers, Flyfishing, biking, skiing, and activities that hit at the core of the individual as part of therapy. The focus being to create a space to feel safe, allowing the work to flow. 

Previously, Matt worked in multiple residential treatment facilities, crisis units and prior to joining our team, he worked in the Psychology Emergency Department. Matt has vast experience with high-intensity crisis situations and working with a wide array of mental illnesses, social-emotional struggles, and neurodiverse students. 8 years of working with Autism. He currently works with a wide range of ages and individuals all over the country. He does in person retreats with his clients for days or weeks at a time to do intensive work when needed.
